Each of us sees Art through a personal lens and responds accordingly. After some reflection the lens can allow a wider spectrum of light on the subject. If our spirit responds, we focus on what we’ve seen in more depth in hope of opening wider communication.
Appreciating Fine Art
We relate to Belle’s Innurendos as we might to sculpture of humans like ourselves. The inspiration of our mutual humanity guided the Artist’s creation. We recognize that source and appreciate her Art through the lens of our own humanity.

We allow ourselves to find meaning and relevance in the Art in our hands.

And we allow this expression of the Artist’s soul to enter into relationship with our own in a safer sphere than if the Art itself was, in fact, human and alive.
Functional Art has its Uses
Of course, it would be easy to relate to art only as objects. We do it all the time.
Fine Art with Purpose
But, unlike the head of David, Innurendos are another step along the ancient human path of awe and reverence for the continuation of human Life —
Or, on another scale …

“My parents had one of these … they called him St. Peter. From the back … ”
“Hmm. I wonder where I could find one now?”
